The Disruptive Technologies Innovation Fund (DTIF), a pivotal element of Project Ireland 2040 supported by the National Development Plan 2018-2027, has officially launched Call 7. Managed by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment and administered by Enterprise Ireland, DTIF continues its mission to revolutionise industries and markets through substantial funding opportunities.
Since its inception, DTIF has allocated over €371 million to 104 innovative projects. These projects span a variety of sectors and demonstrate the impact of collaborative industrial research and experimental development.
DTIF invites applications from SMEs, MNCs, and Research Performing Organisations (RPOs) that are ready to disrupt markets, enhance business operations, or create pioneering products and business models. Applicants should ensure they meet the stringent eligibility criteria before submitting their proposals.
Call 7 commenced on May 7, 2024, and will accept applications until 5 PM on April 30, 2025. This "rolling" call allows applicants to submit their proposals anytime during this period via an online form, which will be available after the upcoming Enterprise Ireland DTIF webinar on May 23, 2024. In preparation, applicants can access the indicative application form and other relevant documents to comprehensively understand the submission requirements.
Join the Enterprise Ireland webinar on May 23, 2024, at 10 AM, which will explain the core aspects of Call 7 and answer potential queries. This session is crucial for new applicants and those seeking further clarification on the process. A recording and a Q&A document will be posted following the webinar to assist those unable to attend live.
The link to join the webinar can be found here.
In the meantime, a recording of the DTIF Call 6 webinar is available for information, along with a DTIF Call 6 webinar Q&A document containing a comprehensive set of responses to the questions raised at the event.
DTIF evaluates submissions based on the disruptive potential of the technology, the excellence and economic impact of the proposal, and the effectiveness of the collaboration among partners. Applicants must showcase a robust plan and a strong collaborative effort to qualify for funding.
Before the submission deadline, verify your company’s eligibility with agencies like Enterprise Ireland or IDA Ireland, complete all sections of the application form, and ensure you meet the financial prerequisites outlined in the DTIF Guide for Applicants.
Engaging with DTIF positions companies at the forefront of technological innovation and opens avenues for substantial economic impact and the development of sustainable business models. Whether your project is set to transform the market or introduce groundbreaking products, DTIF provides the platform and support to bring your innovative ideas to life.
